PND Building Consultancy on behalf of their client Patrick Hehir is seeking permission for the construction of 24 housing units at Carrowkeel West in Inagh.

The development would involve the delivery of reserved open spaces, access roads, footpaths, connections to public sewer and storm water services.

In advance of submitting the application, Mr.Hehir has been accepted as a member of the Kilmaley-Inagh Group Water Scheme for the purpose of connecting the 24 proposed units to the water main.

All water connections to each house will have an individual meter and stop clock installed, with all associated costs to be borne by the developer.

The application is related to a 2004 proposal at the same address when Mr.Hehir was granted conditional approval for the construction of a shop unit, apartments and a 14 bedroom bed and breakfast.

In Kilrush, meanwhile Hassett Leydon and Associates have lodged an application for the construction of 10 houses on behalf of Spanish Point Homes LTD.

The proposal outlines plans for the development of six three-bedroom semi-detached units and four two-bedroom semi-detached homes at Beal An Inbhir, Shanakyle Road.

Both applications are currently at the pre-validation stage of the planning process and Clare County Council will make a decision on whether to grant approval for the separate submissions by the 19th and 20th of September respectively.
