New Report Claims House Prices In Clare Fell Despite National Rise

A new report claims house prices in Clare fell by almost €5,000 during the final three months of last year.

The latest MyHome.ie property report, which has been released today, suggests the average price of home in this county is now €235,000.

Today’s report shows while Clare property prices appeared to have bucked the national trend by falling slightly towards the end of 2021, they have increased by €16,000 compared with the same time last year.

Asking prices for a 3-bed semi-detached house in the county rose by around half a percent between October and December to just shy of €200,000.

A four bed semi D in Clare will now set you back €235,000, which is a year on year increase of nearly ten percent.

The report also suggests supply in the market continues to be an issue here.

There were 187 properties for sale in Clare at the end of Q4 2021 according to MyHome.ie – a decrease of 2 percent over the quarter.

The average time for a property to go sale agreed in the county after being placed up for sale now stands at nearly three and a half months.
