Mayor Of Ennis Hails 289 Pledged Homes As Mark Of Confidence For Future

The Mayor of Ennis is hailing plans for the largest ever private housing development in the county town as a mark of confidence in its future.

Plans for a 65 million euro, 289-home scheme in Drumbiggle were lodged directly to An Bord Pleanala by Glenveagh Homes this week.

The application includes a proposal to sell 57 houses to Clare County Council for €12.4m, as part of the Part V Social and Affordable housing requirement.
