House Prices In Clare Up Slightly From Last Year

House prices in Clare have risen marginally since this time last year.

New figures from the Central Statistics Office show the median price rose by over 5% in the twelve months up to July of this year.

The CSO’s Residential Property Price Index has revealed that the median price paid for a home in Clare in July of this year was €235,000.

This represents an increase of more than 5% from the same month in July 2022.

Meanwhile, 32 fewer houses were sold this July than last July which represents a drop of just below 40%.

Of the 49 houses sold in the July just gone, 29 were in the Ennis region, six were in the Kilrush region and 5 were in the Shannon region.

Just nine of the houses sold were new dwellings and all of these were in the region of the county town.

Nationally, the median price paid for a residential property in July was €320,000 which was up 8% from the same month in 2022.
