The founder of the Clare Pyrite Action Group is making fresh calls for this county to be included in a full redress scheme, before another winter of homes deteriorating here.
It comes as Housing Minister Darragh O Brien is to visit Clare today, where he will assess progress at the Ashline social housing development in Ennis before visiting pyrite-affected homes elsewhere in the county.
Clare County Council is awaiting a decision from the Department on whether impacted homes in this county will be included in the Defective Concrete Block redress scheme.
72 homeowners are part of the group, with more expected to come forward in the coming months.
Chair of the Group, Dr Martina Cleary from Crusheen, will meet the Minister today – she says without redress, impacted homeowners face another difficult winter ahead.
