Eviction Moratorium During Pandemic Masked Extent Of Child Homelessness In Clare

The Head of Operations at MidWest Simon says the moratorium on eviction notices during the pandemic masked the extent of child homelessness in Clare.

It comes as there’s been a near 30% increase in the number of children in this county accessing emergency accommodation this January compared to last.

27 children were without a home at the beginning of the year, with only two fewer children recorded as homeless by the Clare Homeless Action Team this month.
