Concern Among Ennis Councillors About ‘High Density’ Ballymacaula Development

Concern has been expressed among Ennis Councillors about what they say is a ‘high density’ proposal for nearly 300 houses in the Ballymacaula area.

Developer Glenveagh Homes has proposed to An Bord Pleanala to construct 289 homes just off the area’s roundabout, along with a childcare facility and parking provisions.

However, elected representatives are to submit to the planning body that such a development could cause ‘social consequences’, along with fears about only one available exit and entrance to the vicinity.
