The Chair of the Clare Pyrite Action Group believes Oireachtas representatives from this county shouldn’t back the new defective concrete blocks redress scheme.

Details of a 2.2 billion euro plan have been unveiled by Housing Minister Darragh O’ Brien, with 100 per cent redress provided up to a maximum of 420 thousand euro.

Clare County Council is still awaiting a decision from the Department of Housing on whether impacted homeowners here fall under the remit of the scheme.
