Clare’s Fianna Fáil TD insists the government is fully committed to providing affordable housing in the Banner county.
It comes amid mounting pressure on the Housing Minister today to clarify why his department failed to spend money allocated for social housing, after it emerged it under spent its budget by a billion euro between 2020 and the end of last year.
Clare County Council has been notified of over 60 families here who have been issued notices to quit by their landlord, with some set to come into effect this week and the balance on dates ranging from this month to the end of September.
