Clare TD Hopeful Pyrite Affected Homeowners In Clare Will Have Access To Redress In Coming Months

Clare’s Fianna Fail TD believes homeowners affected by pyrite in this county will have access to a meaningful redress scheme in the coming months.

Over 200 people took part in the first protest march by the Clare Pyrite Action Group, which heard calls for the existing scheme to be scrapped and a new model developed.

Those affected by the issue in Clare are not currently part of the scheme, which is open for homeowners in Donegal and Mayo.

Meelick Deputy Cathal Crowe says he’s hopeful there will be movement on the issue soon.
