The average cost of renting a house in Clare has risen by almost 9% in the space of a year.
The latest figures from the Rent Tanancies Board shows that it cost 751 euro per month to rent a home here in the third quarter of this year, up from 691 the same time last year.
The figures coincide with the announcement of four new Rent Pressure Zones, bringing to 25 the number of RPZs nationwide, though none of those are in this county.
