It was the second highest yearly increase in Munster, with only Limerick seeing a higher jump.

Last month, meanwhile, just 769 properties were available to rent in Munster, the lowest number since 2006, while nationally, rents fall by 2%, when compared to March, due to the fallout from the Covid-19 pandemic.
Ronan Lyons, author of the report, says the effects of the pandemic could lead to a further shortage of rental properties.
