Clare Pyrite Group Chair Believes 1,000 Houses In This County Could Be Impacted By The Mineral

The Chair of the Clare Pyrite Action Group believes up to 1,000 houses in this county could be adversely impacted by the mineral.

It comes amid government criticism that just 20 million euro was allocated to the Defective Concrete Blocks Scheme for next year, which Clare homeowners are currently trying to access.

Housing Minister Darragh O’ Brien has pledged a new redress scheme will be announced in the coming weeks, with Clare County Council’s application currently being assessed by the Department.
