Clare Pyrite Action Say Government Taking Piecemeal Approach To Redress Scheme

The Clare Pyrite Action Group believes the government is taking a ‘piecemeal’ approach to the MICA redress scheme.

The €2.7bn euro remediation scheme was intended to be funded in part by a 10% concrete block levy from April, however, this has now been halved and delayed until September.

Responding to a parliamentary question from Scariff Independent TD Michael McNamara, the Housing Minister has said that the aim is to publish regulations this month, with the Enhanced Grant Scheme opening for applications as soon as poosible thereafter.
