Clare Housing Committee Chair Insists Ground Level Homes Should Be Prioritised Over Ennis Apartments

It follows a public meeting last night, which was attended by a large group of businesses, local representatives and members of the public, who voiced concerns over the planned redevelopment of the Abbey Street Cark Park under the Ennis 2040 plan.

Under the plan, six cottages on Francis Street were to be demolished to make way for a temporary car park, which would facilitate the Abbey Street works, but this has been paused, with the intention of developing 45 housing units there in the future.
