Clare Homeowners Afraid To Fix Cracks In Walls As Uncertainty Around Accessing Pytire Redress Lingers

The Clare Pyrite Action Group say homeowners are afraid to fix the cracks in their walls for fear they’ll be excluded from accessing the redress scheme.

The criteria required to meet the ‘damage threshold’ to qualify for redress was to be clarified by the end of the year, however no information has been made available.

Members of the Clare Pyrite Action Group met with officials from Clare County Council on December 7th, where a date of March or April was flagged as a possibility as to when the scheme will open to applications, however official confirmation is still awaited from the government.
