Clare Councillor Says Building Of Social And Affordable Housing Should Be Carried Out By Local Authorities

The number of families in need of social housing in Clare increased by 13 per cent last year.

Clare County Council say 1,209 family units applied for local authority housing in 2020, compared to 1,070 back in 2019.

A new multi-annual housing programme is due to be published later this year which intends to set new targets for the delivery of social housing in Clare over the next five years.
