Average Price Paid For A Home In Clare Increases By 17% In 2022

The average price paid for a home in Clare increased by 17% last year.

The latest figures from the Central Statistics Office show that there over 1,500 property sales in the county in 2022.

A total of 1,527 houses and apartments were sold in Clare last year – only 14 fewer than the year prior.

 

However, despite a similar number of transactions, the value of the sales made in 2022 were nearly 16% higher than in 2021.

In total, €333.5m traded hands in residential sales in the Banner last year, compared to €287.8 the year before.

The average sale in the county last year was over €218,000 – 17% higher than the price tag of just under €187,000 in 2021.

The median sale in Clare, which can be considered a more accurate reflection, was €215,000 last year and €175,000 the year prior.

There were 335 first-time buyers in Clare last year and 768 former owner occupiers jumped up the property ladder.
