Housing Minister Says Financial Firms Could Make Contributions To Pyrite Redress Scheme

Insurance companies and banks, could be asked to make a voluntary contribution to the re-dress scheme for people who’s homes are affected by defective blocks.

The Housing Minister says good progress is being made in talks, on changes to the Defective Concret Block Scheme.

It’s currently only open to homeowners in Donegal and Mayo, who are looking for the scheme to cover 100 per cent of the rem-ediation costs, while there’s ongiong campaign in Clare for more than 50 homeowners affected by Pyrite, to be granted access to the scheme.
