Housing Minister Promises Decision On Clare Pyrite Redress Application ‘Within Weeks’

The Housing Minister says a decision on Clare’s application to extend the Defective Concrete Block Scheme to this county is to be made ‘within weeks’.

The local authority made a submission to the Department of Housing just under a month ago, with more than 70 homes and two estates here estimated to be impacted by pyrite defects.

On a visit to Clare yesterday, Minister Darragh O Brien met with the Clare Pyrite Action Group and witnessed homes effected by the mineral in this county first hand.
