A former Ennis Chamber President insists that housing will be the cornerstone to the success of the Ennis 2040 plan.
The plan, which was unveiled last week promises 5,000 jobs in just under 20 years time and that the town will be strategically positioned as in ideal location for both domestic and international investment.
Diarmuid McMahon, who was actively involved in the development of the plan during his term as Chamber President says we’ve lost a generation of Ennis people who emigrated in recent years.
The Ennis Auctioneer believes it’s vital that there’s housing available for people who move to Ennis from elsewhere in the coming years, but he says you could count the number of private new homes available currently on one hand.
