Householders will soon pay to dispose of their rubbish by weight instead of by the bag.

It's thought bin charges could rise by up to 100 euro per year, as a result of the measures which are due to come into effect next year.
The Irish Independent claims the increases will accompany new rules next year which will ban flat-fees to encourage recycling.
