House prices in Clare have remained flat over the last year.
The latest quarterly report from MyHome.ie shows there was no change between the median price of a home in the county between July and September of this year and the average for the same period in 2024.
The average asking price for a property in Clare during the period in question was €285,000.
This was down €10,000 on the previous quarter but unchanged from the same quarter in 2024.
For a three-bed semi-detached house, sellers were typically looking for €275,000, indicating a rise of €15,000, while prices have stayed flat for four-bed semis at €295,000.
A total of 283 properties were listed as being for sale in Clare at the end of September which was down 2%.
The report reveals that the average time for a property to go sale agreed here now stands at just over two and a half months.
Looking at the national picture, asking prices rose by an average of almost 6% while 12 weeks was the average time to go sale agreed and one-in-five transactions were settled at 20% or more above the asking price.
Roscommon saw the greatest year-on-year average asking price increase at 15% while Monaghan saw the greatest decrease, with the average price dropping by 5%.
