Further House Price Rises Expected In Clare Despite Slow In Growth

The Vice-Chairman of the Real Estate Alliance anticipates further rises in house price in Clare in the coming months, despite a slow-down in growth.

The REA Average House Price Index shows it now costs around €180,000 to buy an average three-bed semi detached house in the county.

It represents a rise of just over 1% in the first three months of the year, compared to the same time last year, and a 9% rise over the past 12 months.

Liam Browne of REA Paddy Browne has been telling Clare FM’s Fiona Cahill that while there has been an increase in the number of mortgage approved home-buyers, there remains a lack of supply in Clare.
