The hottest temperature of the year so far was recorded at Shannon Airport yesterday.
Met Éireann says the mercury reached 26.3 degrees there, well ahead of the highs of around 21 degrees in Dublin.
Today is expected to be warm once again, though with more cloud than yesterday, and temperatures up to 25 degrees in some places.
