Hoteliers Calls For Clearer Guidelines On Roadmap For Group Gatherings

A Clare hotelier is calling for clearer guidelines on group gatherings over the coming months amid ongoing uncertainty for businesses and those planning a wedding.

Hotels can reopen next Monday but no more than 50 people can gather in groups, with that number rising to 100 on July 20th.

The Irish Hotels Federation is calling on the Government to review the limits on the number of people, saying some hotel are being asked to enforce social distancing rules of much more than 2 metres.

Owner and Director of Hotel Woodstock in Ennis, Sean Lally, who’s a member of the IHF, has been telling Clare FM’s Fiona Cahill that there remains a lot of uncertainty.
