It's hoped work on eight community projects in South East Clare will get underway in early 2017.

Half a million euro has been announced as part of the Limerick Hinterland Project which will see 2.3 million euro in total being distributed by the Government to sixteen projects in Clare, Limerick and Tipperary.
Killaloe, Shannon, Parteen, Westbury, Gillogue and Meelick will receive a portion of the money which will be matched by Clare County Council, bringing the overall spend in this county to one million euro.
Clare's Junior Minister Pat Breen hopes the process will move along quickly.
