ESB Networks expects power to be restored to all homes in Clare by around 4 o'clock this afternoon.
There's currently 700 homes without power, the vast majority in the Tulla, Scarriff and Feakle areas, while around one hundred of those are in and around Ennis.

There's now three faults on the grid and ESB crews are working to resolve the issues as a low-level yellow weather alert remains in place until ten o'clock tonight.
