It's hoped a new multifunction vehicle secured by the Clare branch of the Red Cross will help relieve isolation in rural parts of the county.

€82,000 has been raised for the cost of the new minibus, which can be adapted for use as a community bus, ambulance or van.
A contract has been agreed with a vehicle conversion specialist, who will provide the new vehicle and it will be signed at the Red Cross Training Centre in Tobartaoscáin at 6 o'clock this evening.
Treasurer of Clare Red Cross James Lafferty says it can be used to bring communities together.
