Two new Clare tourist trails are being a hailed as huge economic opportunity for the whole county.
Tourism Minister Patrick O’Donovan has announced the Shannon Estuary Drive and the Burren Drive will be developed as part of efforts to capitalise on the popularity of the Wild Atlantic Way.
It's envisaged that the routes will lead to the further growth in traditional tourist areas as well as encourage people to travel more widely around the county.
Kilrush Independent Councillor Ian Lynch has been telling me it's crucial that communities in Clare capitalise on the opportunity the new routes present.
