The technology support call centre in the Shannon Industrial Estate is understood to have lost a major contract with Sony resulting in the loss of between 50 and 75 jobs, but management haven’t confirmed the figure.
A Company spokesperson told Clare FM that there will be "staff fluctuations due to changing market needs" but with up to half of the workforce in Shannon now facing redundancy concerns have been expressed for the long term future of the firm.
