It’s hoped the celebration of a huge German festival this evening will strengthen the connection between Ennis and its twinned town Langenfeld in Germany.
The county town twinned with Langenfeld in 2013, and as part of culture night festivities, Ennis will host its third Oktoberfest celebration from 7pm in Fawl’s Bar this evening.

The Erasmus programme has also been identified as a means of a greater connection with the German town through both student and sporting exchanges.
Secretary of the Ennis-Langenfeld Twinning Board, Dara Glynn, says the Oktoberfest festivities have helped to greater align the towns.
