It’s hoped new road safety measures in the Shannon Municipal District will greatly benefit people with reduced mobility.
It comes as Clare County Council has proposed a number of traffic calming measures on potentially dangerous routes across the Shannon Municipal District.

Raised tabletops and pedestrian zebra crossings are proposed at various locations in Shannon, Cratloe, Sixmilebridge, Westbury and Shannonbanks.
Shannon Fine Gael Councillor Tony Mulcahy says it’s crucial to forge safe routes throughout each town.
