It’s hoped legacy water disruptions in a bustling West Clare town will finally be coming to an end this Summer.
Uisce Eireann has confirmed it will be replacing 6km of defective 50-year-old mains on the Coore water scheme which also serves the surrounding areas of Mullagh, Quilty, Spanish Point and Annagh.
The works will commence in March and are expected to be complete by mid June.
Quilty Fianna Fáil Councillor Michael Shannon says it’s crucial for the region’s tourism product.
