A Clare Councillor says expectations remain high locally that a deal will be struck shortly to secure jobs at Roche in Clarecastle.
It's understood a Canadian company is in talks with plant owners over a proposed purchase of the site, which could save the 250 jobs being provided directly and indirectly by the facility.
