Hopes For Enrolment Numbers Boost As Ennistymon National School Opens Its Doors

The principal of a newly-opened school in North Clare is hopeful enrolment numbers will grow in the coming years.

After four years of relying on prefabs, sharing a yard with the neighbouring Ennistymon Community School and renting a room from the North West Clare Family Resource Centre, Ennistymon National School has finally opened its doors.

The state-of-the-art building boasts three classrooms with space for five, a special class area and sporting facilities.

With 68 pupils already on the books this year, Principal Noreen Murphy is confident the school has the offering to attract more families in future years.
