It’s hoped a major funding boost will greatly enhance the visitor experience at one of Clare’s most prominent attractions.
Clare County Council has pledged to invest €1m in Craggaunowen as it prepares to reopen for the tourist season on St. Patrick’s Day.
It’s anticipated the impending upgrade works, which include a new children’s playground based on St. Brendan’s Voyage and improvements to the site’s signature crannógs will boost visitor numbers to over 30,000 next year.
