Hopes Clarecastle Site Could Be Developed As Tourist Attraction

It’s hoped a 50 acre site in Clarecastle purchased by Clare County Council will be developed into a major tourist attraction.

The local authority recently bought the vacant site at Ballaghafadda and it has been zoned as community and tourism land.

Part of it is expected to become the new local graveyard as Drumcliffe Cemetery nears capacity, while the county council is to outline a master plan for it in the New Year.
