It’s claimed greater clarity on the usage of key sites around the county will be provided through changes to the local authority’s County Development Plan.
The proposed variation would see an additional 250 sites across 1,200 acres designated to supporting additional housing delivery.

The new proposal also focuses on the Ennis 2040 plan including the scrapping of some controversial projects, with plans open for consultation until April 7th.
Clare County Council Senior Planner, Helen Quinn, says the proposal will aid the sustainability of rural communities and implement a viable long term plan for the county town.
