Hopes Affordable housing Scheme Will Help finance First-Time Buyers

There are plans for a new affordable housing scheme which would help finance first-time buyers.

Proposals are to go to cabinet next week which would involve the government taking up a 30 percent stake of equity in property purchases.

It comes as new figures from daft.ie show house prices in Clare have risen by 4% in the past 12 months, with the average price of a house in this county now 191,000 euro.
