There are hopes Clare’s first standalone Traveller organisation will unite the Traveller and settled communities.
The Clare Traveller Community Development Project was chosen as one of seven pilots nationally and funded by the Department of Rural and Community Development.
The group hope to instill Traveller pride and will be hosting a Clare Traveller Pride Award ceremony this Thursday.
