Hope has been expressed that works to address serious safety concerns at a busy cross on a key artery into Ennis will be given the green light.
A decision on a project to alleviate issues at the Ballymacahill Cross on the Tulla Road is due in early February.
Residents in the area and at other dangerous junctions around the county town have rallied together to lobby the local authority in an effort to make the roads safe for all users.
