Honours For Actor In East Clare Murder Film

The lead actor in a film based on a notorious triple-murder in East Clare has been honoured at the Irish Film and Television Awards.

Patrick Gibson, who plays Brendan O’Donnell in ‘Property of the State’ was named Rising Star at the IFTAs last night.

The film, produced and written by Mountshannon’s Terence Ryan and Susan Morall, deals with the killing of Imelda Riney, her son, Liam, and Fr Joe Walsh in Cregg Wood in 1994.
