Homelessness Reportedly “Breaking The Innocence” Of Clare Children

A Clare-based mother who previously spent five years homeless in London claims the housing crisis is breaking the innocence of children.

The latest Department of Housing figures show the number of adults in homelessness in Clare has increased by 25% in the last year to 85.

Across the Clare and Limerick region, there are now 533 adults and 210 children living in emergency accommodation.

Ennis resident Fiona Faulkes has been telling Clare FM’s Seán Lyons that while homelessness can break the spirit of adults, it can have long-lasting psychological effects on children.
