A West Clare man who has spent the last six months living under a bridge has finally secured a permanent home following tireless efforts.
In June 71 Year-Old Kit Smalley and his loyal beagle Yeoh relocated to a makeshift room near the Doonbeg River when his rental accommodation of the previous eight years required urgent remediation works.
After half a year of struggles however, a local resident came to Kit’s aid and sourced a ground-floor apartment in Kilrush.

Kit says the goodwill of the local community has given him a new lease of life.
