High Tide Advisory In Effect For Clare From Tonight

Clare’s Severe Weather Assessment Team is monitoring this county’s coast ahead of an expected storm surge over the coming days.

Met Éireann has issued a high tide advisory for Clare and all Atlantic coasts which comes into effect from midnight and remains in place until Thursday.

The national forecaster is expecting “Highest Astronomical Tide Levels to be approached or exceeded” across the county.

The local authority is advising the public to stay away from exposed piers, harbours and sea walls as there is a significant risk of wave overtopping.
