The father of a toddler who is profoundly disabled as a result of injuries sustained during her birth, says the same situation could happen again.

Milagros Martin was born in December 2011 at our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda.
In the High Court this morning a statement was read out on behalf of hospital staff, apologising sincerely and unambiguously to the Martin family for the deficits of care relating to her birth.
The case has been settled and the family will receive an initial 1.9m euro payment, but Milagros’ father Ruary said the apology is meaningless.
