Heritage Status For Burren To Be Discussed By International Experts

Moves to recognise the Burren as a UNESCO World Heritage site will move a step forward today.

The Arts and Heritage Minister is hosting a meeting of international experts in Dublin today – which aims to help a number of historic sites earn the lucrative status.

So far Ireland has three World Heritage sites – and it’s hoped that places like the Burren, the Céide Fields and Cashel could soon join them.
