The trial of a Barefield man accused of murdering Ennis student Eoin Ryan is due to open at the Central Criminal Court in Dublin today.

33 year old Joe Heffernan of Cappabeg, Barefield denies killing the 21 year old on the outskirts of Clare’s County Town over two years ago.
A jury was sworn in on Monday to hear the case under Justice Paul Carney and the trial at the Criminal Courts complex in Dublin is due to last 6 days.
