Clare's landowners are being encouraged to avail of a hedge-cutting scheme.

The programme aims to tackle over-hanging branches and foliage on roads across the county, as they can lead to health and safety issues for both motorists and pedestrians.
€20,000 has been allocated for the scheme with payments of €25 per kilometre for each side of the road.
